Prophase (early)

-chromosomes condense, shorter, thicker and more tightly coiled

Prophase (late)

-chromosomes replicate and consists of two sister chromatids

-nucleolus and nuclear membrane break down

Metaphase

-chromosomes line up at the equatorial plane

Anaphase

-chromosomes separate and pull to opposite pole

Telophase

-chromosomes reach the opposite poles

-nuclear membrane forms in each opposite poles

Cytokinesis

-plasma membrane form cleavage furrow

-the cell divides to form two daughter cells
